Seeding/Starting group: Varvetmilen uses "friend seeding." This means that all runners help each other to give the best conditions for the entire field to have a smooth journey from start to finish. You decide for yourself where in the starting field you should start. If you want to take it easy, stand a bit further back; if you belong to the faster part of the starting field, position yourself towards the front.
Track: Varvetmilen Göteborg is measured by a certified federal track measurer according to the rules established by Swedish Athletics. The organizer may decide to direct runners to the sidewalk so that traffic can be released according to plan (this applies to runners who have a pace of about 9:00 min/km).
After the race: All finishers receive a medal after the finish line.
Prizes: Prizes for placements 1–3 in the women's and men's categories, awards ceremony around 11:45 AM.
Results: You can view your result after the race here (link will be updated closer to the race). If you have a registration for Göteborgsvarvet 2025, you will automatically be seeded with your result from Varvetmilen (or another better seeding qualifying result).
